Drainage of subcutaneous abscess
Preparation:
As for general anaesthetic
Procedure:
An incision is placed over the area of maximum swelling.
In most cases the wound will be left open.
Anaesthetic:
General anaesthetic
Post Op:
Wound dressings will be required on a regular basis
Antibiotics if there is surrounding infection
